Will Hall, MPP

Will Hall is an external affairs professional with significant experience in policy, advocacy and government relations, and a specialism in science and global health. He joined CARB-X from the Wellcome Trust, one of the world’s largest philanthropic funders of science, where he established and was Head of Global Government Relations. He began his career in finance before moving into policy as a civil servant at the UK Treasury, advising ministers on a variety of areas, including reforms to the banking sector after the financial crash, the Scottish Independence Referendum, and the UK’s exit from the EU.
He began working on antimicrobial resistance in 2014, as Senior Policy Advisor to the Review on AMR, commissioned by the UK Prime Minister. He’s personally passionate about tackling AMR and wrote a book on the challenges and solutions with Lord Jim O’Neill and Anthony McDonnell, published by Harvard University Press. He studied History at the University of Manchester and has an Executive Masters in Public Policy from the London School of Economics.
