Sinnamon graduated with a Master in Public Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in Natural Resource Policy from The Evergreen State College.  She has been a Certified Research Administrator since 2010.  Before CARB-X, Sinnamon served as the Associate Director for Departmental Research Administration in the Office of Sponsored Projects Administration at Portland State University in Portland, OR. Sinnamon is passionate about departmental research administration and working with stakeholders on being good stewards of funding and staying in compliance while relieving administrative burden.  She has been active with the National Council for University Research Administrators (NCURA) since 2007 in many capacities, but including serving as a Region VI Chair in 2017 (representing AK, HI, WA, OR, CA, NV, Puerto Rico, Guam, Northern Marianas Island, & Samoa) and most recently as the national 2019 Chair of the NCURA Professional Development Committee.
