Peter Seiler, PhD

Alliance Director

Peter is a pharmaceutical scientist with extensive leadership experience in translational drug development, anti-infectives, and immunology.

He held senior leadership roles at Actelion and Idorsia Pharmaceuticals in Basel / Switzerland, where he led R&D programs in anti-bacterials and immunology and contributed to preclinical development through to IND and NDA preparations. He previously worked at Bayer HealthCare in Wuppertal / Germany on anti-infectives and animal model development and served in consulting and coordination roles at the Novartis Institute for Tropical Diseases in Singapore and the NTNU in Trondheim / Norway.

Most recently before joining CARB-X, Peter served on the INCATE Management Team, was Knowledge and Technology Transfer Officer at the National Center of Competence in Research AntiResist in Basel / Switzerland and was co-founder and board member of Praed Pharmaceuticals Ltd. Peters core interests are in preclinical pharmacology, development strategies and PK/PD correlation for antibacterial programs.

Peter earned his doctorate and diploma from ETH Zurich / Switzerland.
