Heather Shane is Chief Business Officer at the California Life Sciences Institute (CLSI), where she expands access to CLSI’s entrepreneurship programs and California’s innovation ecosystem. Heather supports CARB-X by connecting portfolio companies to needed resources – including potential partners, funding sources, subject matter expertise, strategic advice or capabilities – and designing support programs customized to suit their individual needs. Prior to joining CLSI, Heather served as Vice President & Assistant General Counsel at Theravance Biopharma where she handled a broad range of corporate, financing, partnering, operational and regulatory compliance matters, and experienced antibiotic drug discovery transitioning to and through preclinical and clinical development, the regulatory process and ultimately commercialization.
