Therapeutic Development Program Officer

François Franceschi is a Therapeutic Development Program Officer in the Bacteriology and Mycology Branch in NIAID’s Division for Microbiology and Infectious Diseases (DMID). Before joining NIAD in 2013, he worked for many years in antibacterial discovery and development in both Academia and the Biotech Industry. He is the Contracting Officer Representative for several of NIAIDs preclinical services contracts which support the advancement of promising antibacterials into the clinical pipeline. He also collaborates with federal colleagues on implementing the Combating Antibiotic Resistant Bacteria (CARB) initiative.
