Science Programme Officer

Francesca Chiara is Science Programme Officer in Wellcome’s Drug Resistant Infection team which was established in 2017. Prior to this, Francesca contributed to the development of the Drug Resistant Infections strategy led by Tim Jinks, through analysis of the AMR landscape and identification of partnership opportunities for Wellcome. In 2015 she joined Wellcome’s Innovation Division as a Business Development Analyst managing a portfolio of product development projects. Francesca was previously a consultant at Archimedes IP and a postdoctoral research fellow at King’s College London. She has a PhD in Neuroscience from University College London and a Research Master’s in Medical and Pharmaceutical Biotechnology from San Raffaele University of Milan.
