First antibiotic for super-gonorrhea enters human trials as new cases found in England

THE TELEGRAPH | An estimated 82.4 million people were newly infected with gonorrhoea in 2020, with all these cases resistant to at least one antibiotic. The number of cases of gonorrhoea that do not respond to standard antibiotics has increased significantly over the past 50 years, prompting concerns that without the development of new drugs the disease may become untreatable.
