Joint Oversight Board

CARB-X is governed by the Joint Oversight Board (JOB), which comprises representatives of the organizations that fund CARB-X and an independent chair. The JOB sets overall portfolio strategy and scope, and annual budget, along with key performance indicators. Operational authority, including investment decisions for individual projects, is delegated to CARB-X and conducted within the bounds set by the JOB. Members of the JOB complete a robust conflict-of-interest process and are excluded from participating in any decision in which they may have a conflict.
