June 24, 2019 @ 7:15 am - 8:15 am
Presentations developed in cooperation with GARDP, CARB-X, and REPAIR Impact Fund.
Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) continues to be a major problem that is not being addressed adequately by the pharmaceutical industry. Academic research is more frequently serving as a source for novel antimicrobial agents to treat infections caused by antibiotic-resistant organisms. In this session, drug discovery efforts originating from academic laboratories will be discussed. The importance of collaborative efforts will be emphasized.
