Torsten Geissler, PHD

Head of Division of New Methods in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Drug Development, Federal Ministry of Education and Research

Dr. Torsten Geissler is the Head of Division for New Methods in Life Sciences – Biotechnology – Drug Development at the Federal Ministry of Education and Research. From 2017 to 2020 he was building up the internal auditing division at the ministry, after being responsible for several strategic matters in education policy. Before he joined the ministry in 2002, he was working as an IT-consultant, after receiving his PhD in economics in 1999 in Frankfurt (Oder), Germany.
