DESCRIPTION:The World Cancer Congress aims to strengthen the participants’ actions and impact on national\, regional and international scales through a multidisciplinary programme featuring the latest successful cancer prevention\, diagnosis\, treatment and care interventions. \nThe World Cancer Congress is an initiative of the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) –  which was recognised with Membership Engagement Award – and supports the organisation’s mission: ‘to both unite and support the cancer community in its efforts to reduce the global cancer burden\, promote greater equity and ensure that cancer control remains a priority on the global health and development agenda’. \nThe upcoming edition will however be hosted in UICC’s hometown\, Geneva in Switzerland\, on 17-19 September 2024\, at the International Conference Centre Geneva (CICG). UICC member organisations from across Europe will be joining in as co-hosts.

SUMMARY:8th World One Health Congress
DESCRIPTION:The global One Health Community is organizing the 8th World One Health Congress in Cape Town\n20 September – 23 September 2024\n\n\nThe Congress foresees four days of an outstanding\, exceptional and forward-thinking agenda\, which includes parallel tracks addressing one health science\, antimicrobial agents and resistance\, and science policy interface\, amongst others. \nIt will enable discussing major One Health challenges\, as well as sharing research data and policy developments. Above all\, it will provide a great opportunity to look at global One Health science and policy through an African lens. Through an open call for abstracts\, notable work from distinguished scientists and opinion leaders will be disseminated at the world’s largest forum dedicated to advancing the One Health agenda and community. \nBuilding on the success of the 7th World One Health Congress in 2022 in Singapore\, it will bring together One Health stakeholders\, from science researchers\, policymakers\, representatives of international institutions\, civil society to the private sector from around the world.
