The Administrative Coordinator is a new role on the growing team of a grant-funded global R&D partnership for antibiotics (CARB-X). Reporting to the Director of R&D, the Administrative Coordinator provides support for the R&D team, expected to be 8-12 people. The Administrative Coordinator will create and maintain an integrated schedule and provide logistical planning for outreach events, meetings, and programmatic engagement; provide assistance with the preparation of presentations and meeting materials; and manage the arrangement of travel plans and expense reports. The Administrative Coordinator acts as the primary administrative point of contact for CARB-X product developers, accelerators and partners engaged with the R&D program efforts. CARB-X is a fast-paced environment where creativity, flexibility, and collaboration are essential. In this role, you will work as part of a dedicated CARB-X core team and with BU offices, to achieve goals and maximize the overall effectiveness of the program. This is a full-time, grant-funded position, located on the Charles River Campus of Boston University. CARB-X is currently in Year 3 of 5 of its principal grant funding.

Required Skills

Bachelor’s degree preferred, HS Diploma or GED Required. Requires three to five years supporting an office team with responsibilities in scheduling, event planning, and administrative coordination. Must have strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, and exceptional attention to detail required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required. Experience with SharePoint would be valuable. Must be able to work independently with a high degree of quality based on general direction.
